Earlier today (November 17), popular Tamil actor and director RNR Manohar passed away, following a heart attack and his demise has taken the Tamil film fraternity by shock. According to reports, Manohar had tested positive for the Covid-19 virus a few days before and was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for treatment. He was under treatment for Covid-19 for the past 20 days. Early this morning, around 8.30 AM, Manohar suffered a heart attack after which he was declared dead. RNR Manohar was 61 years old when he breathed his last.

Manohar's last release before his death was Teddy in which he played the character of Sayyeshaa's father. RNR Manohar will be seen in a few more films that are lined up for release in the coming days. RNR Manohar made his directorial debut with the Nakkhul - Sunainaa starrer Maasilamani, which was released by Sun Pictures. He later directed the action drama, Vellore Maavattam, starring Nandha and Poorna in the lead roles.

Leading music composer D Imman took to his official Twitter page to mourn the untimely demise of RNR Manohar. Imman had scored music for Manohar's Maasilamani. Imman's tweet read, "Rest in Peace RNR Manohar Sir. My heartfelt condolences to his friends and family members. Had the privilege to work with him for his directorial venture “Masilamani” starring Nakul and Sunaina in the lead under Sun Pictures Production. An efficient director and a kind person".
