Earlier today (August 10), Tabu escaped a major injury while performing an extremely dangerous stunt while shooting for the Ajay Devgn starrer Bholaa in which she plays a fearless, high-ranking police officer. This is one of the films in which the actress will be seen performing several death-defying stunts herself alongside the leading man, Ajay Devgn, who will be seen playing the titular role of Bholaa.
According to reports, the National Award winning actres was driving a truck in a thick dense jungle which was being chased by some baddies riding motorcycles. During one of the takes for this scene, one of the bikes which was going really fast lost control and collided with the truck. Tabu, who was in the truck, had some shredded glass scattering on her from the crash due to its powerful impact.
A source also revealed that added that the impact of the collision was so strong that a piece of glass flew and cut Tabu just above her right eye. The cut was seen bleeding rapidly but fortunately for Tabu, the gash was on her forehead just above the right side eyebrow. Medical help that was present on the set rushed to the scene to attend to her injuries. Fortunately for all, those helping on set revealed, "The injury is minor. She will not be needing stitches on the gash".
Ajay Devgn, who was fully in charge of the situation, quickly called for a short break following this, which allowed the beloved actress to rest until she gained her composure. Devgn and Tabu have worked together before in films like Vijaypath, Thakshak, Drishyam, Golmaal Again, and De De Pyaar De.
This is Devgn's fourth directorial after U Me Aur Hum, Shivaay, and Runway 34. Bholaa is the remake of the 2019 Tamil film Kaithi. It is touted to be an emotional drama and has been scheduled for a theatrical release next year on 30 March 2023. On the other hand, Ajay has a few other movies in his kitty including Maidaan, Thank God, and Drishyam 2 which are all lined up for release. He will also be seen in a cameo in Rohit Shetty's Cirkus starring Ranveer Singh who will be seen playing a double role for the first time in his career.
