A new photo of leading Tamil actor-producer Suriya has taken social media by storm and has fans once again gushing over his latest look. The star is seen with a short handlebar moustache, while sporting a purple full sleeves shirt and a navy blue-gray vest, with the picture now undoubtedly turning out to be the talk of the town as fans are wondering if it is for a new film. Suriya, who was last seen in an explosive cameo as the kingpin of a drug syndicate in Kamal Haasan's Vikram directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is currently attached to nearly five upcoming films.

Among the upcoming ventures Suriya has in the pipeline, the actor is currently working on his Vanangaan with director Bala, which marks their third collaboration together after Nandha (2001) and Pithamagan (2003). The film is also being produced by the actor and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment banner and recently had its first look released on the occasion of Bala's birthday. Next is Suriya's highly-anticipated team-up with filmmaker Vetri Maaran for their Vaadivaasal, which is based on C. S. Chellappa's acclaimed novel, and is being produced under Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner. There's also the actor's film with Viswasam director Siva, which will be produced by Saaho and Radhe Shyam production banner UV Creations, with an announcement keenly being awaited by fans. Furthermore, Suriya had also revealed to the Hollywood daily Variety earlier this year that he would be joining hands once again with director Sudha Kongara after the stupendous response of their Soorarai Pottru in 2020. It is also worthwhile to note that the actor will be making a cameo appearance in the Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake, which will see Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar in the role portrayed by Suriya.

With Suriya as Rolex also revealed to be a part of the 'Lokesh Cinematic Universe' or the 'Lokiverse', it now remains to be seen whether he will be seen for the first time ever alongside Karthi in Kaithi 2 or with Kamal Haasan in Vikram 3 or a venture that will include him in a bigger role as the antagonist alongside them all. Suriya as Rolex turned out to be a show stealer in Vikram after it was revealed that his character was the architect behind all the crimes in the film and the 2019 blockbuster, Kaithi, starring Karthi, which too was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The box office money-spinner, which marked Kamal Haasan's first big appearance on cinema screens after Vishwaroopam 2 in 2018, also featured Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faasil, with Suriya standing right beside the two heavyweight performers with his power-packed act towards the film's climax.
