Suriya appeared in a super exciting cameo in the latest blockbuster, Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role and his cameo performance as the deadly and evil Rolex turned out to be a rage among the audiences, especially the youth. While Vikram has now become the first project of Suriya and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, the duo were actually supposed to team up for a project titled Irumbukai Maayavi which was supposed to happen before Kaithi. However, the plan was put on hold due to various reasons after which Kaithi happened. SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures was supposed to produce that movie which was planned as an ambitious project.

Ever since the first news about the project came out, the fans have been eagerly waiting to know the official developments and to all those people, here is an exciting update. Producer SR Prabhu, while talking on a Twitter Spaces session last night (June 11), mentioned that Irumbukai Maayavi is still on, adding that the film will take off at the right time. "Yes, we are planning to make that film on a grand scale with International standards. So, we require that time and space to execute the project. Once our current commitments, the next set of stories are completed, we will start working on this", said Prabhu. Exciting, right?.

With Vikram, Lokesh Kanagaraj has become one of the top league filmmakers in our country and it would indeed be exciting to witness him join hands with Suriya on a full-fledged note. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj will next be joining hands with Thalapathy Vijay for Thalapathy 67 which has already got huge expectations among the masses. The film is expected to be officially announced this month and it is said to go on floors from October 2022. Busy and happening days ahead for Lokesh Kanagaraj, the filmmaker!
