Tamil cinema's favorite star couple Suriya and Jyotika have been setting relationship goals for two decades and the happy duo once again appeared in a video addressed to fans. On Monday, October 24, on the festive occasion of Diwali, the couple is seen expressing their wishes to fans, and have once again taken social media by storm. Suriya and Jyotika are appearing together on a public platform after the couple received National Awards for the 2020 period drama film, Soorarai Pottru on September 30. While Suriya was adjudged the Best Actor for his performance in Soorarai Pottru, Jyotika received the Best Feature Film award as the producer of the film at the 68th National Film Awards ceremony held at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. 

Soorarai Pottru had won five National Awards, with Suriya and Jyotika being joined by director Sudha Kongara, who received the award for Best Screenplay with Shalini Usha Nair, while Aparna Balamurali took home the Best Actor - Female award, and composer G. V. Prakash Kumar accepted the honors for Best Background Score for his work in the film. Videos and pictures from the 68th National Film Awards ceremony last month took social media by storm, with celebrities and personalities from across the nation extending their wishes to the entire Soorarai Pottru team for their prestigious win. Fans too showered their love on Suriya and Jyotika for the special occasion as they took center stage on a national platform for the first time. Check out the couple's Diwali wishes video below: 

On the work front, Suriya is currently filming the tentatively titled Suriya 42 under Siva's direction, which will feature Bollywood sensation Disha Patani as the female lead, and is being produced by K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green in association with Vamsi-Pramod's UV Creations banners. Featuring music by Devi Sri Prasad, Suriya 42 will be released in 10 languages and is being made on a grand scale, with the makers releasing a special motion poster as well. Suriya's next big release will be Vanangaan, which has him reuniting with National Award-winning director Bala after they previously collaborated in films like Nandha, Pithamagan, with the actor also making a special appearance in the filmmaker’s Avan Ivan. Suriya also has in his lineup the highly-anticipated Vaadivaasal under Vetri Maaran's direction, which is being produced in a grand manner by blockbuster producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner. Likewise, Jyotika was recently announced to be a part of Malayalam superstar Mammootty's next mega project titled Kaathal - The Core, which is being directed by Jeo Baby, who is best known for The Great Indian Kitchen. The film is being produced by Mammootty under his Mammootty Kampany banner, while his son Dulquer Salmaan too is a part of the film and is bankrolling the venture under his Wayfarer Films banner.
