Ace Tamil filmmaker Bala is celebrating his birthday today, July 11, and wishes have been pouring in for the acclaimed director, who has delivered iconic films over the course of his illustrious career. Having won the National Award for Best Director for Naan Kadavul, the celebrated director is collaborating with leading Tamil actor-producer Suriya for the tentatively titled Suriya 41, which marks the duo's third-time association after their Nandha (2001) and Pithamagan (2003). With production currently progressing at a steady pace, Suriya 41 being produced under Suriya and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment banner has now announced that the film is titled Vanangaan in Tamil and Achaludu in Telugu.

Wishing Bala on the occasion of his birthday, Suriya shared the Vanangaan first look, while also sharing an intense glimpse of himself along with the title reveal. Coming out as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, the film has been carrying tremendous buzz ever since it was announced as expectations are sky-high for Bala and Suriya to come up with yet another memorable venture. For a while, there were rumors circulating on social media that Vanangaan was dropped due to creative differences between the two big-league Tamil cinema stars. However, Suriya was quick to put an end to those rumors by sharing a shooting spot photo where he is seen engaged in an important discussion with Bala from the sets of Vanangaan. There is plenty of excitement for Vanangaan as Suriya has been on a sensational roll over the past couple of years after he delivered power-packed performances in films like Soorarai Pottru and Jai Bhim, including appearing in a thunderous cameo as the character Rolex in Kamal Haasan's Vikram. The upcoming film will see the actor sharing screen space with South Indian sensation Krithi Shetty and popular Malayalam actress Mamitha Baiju, who will be seen in a crucial role. Vanangaan also features composer G. V. Prakash Kumar on the music front, who played a pivotal role in Soorarai Pottru, and is once again expected to come up with yet another raw and folk-based album.
