Suriya's gift to the Tamil Nadu Police!
The year 2019 is drawing to a close and Kollywood is gearing up to begin the festivities and usher in the new year 2020 on a grand note! The end of 2019 does not just mark the end of a single year but also the whole decade. Actor Suriya is somebody who is known to have a sense of social awareness and often does his bit to help the society. Suriya and his family run the Agaram Foundation which helps in providing education for underprivileged children. Now, Suriya has gone a step further and yet again helped the society.
It looks like as a token of goodwill, Suriya's production house 2D Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. has presented the Tamil Nadu Police department with 50 Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) cameras, to monitor three important areas. These cameras, worth Rs. 2 Lakhs, were presented to the Chennai Police by Rajasekar Pandian, Director and Co-Producer of 2D Entertainment. The banner is already basking in the success of their latest release - Sillu Karupatti, the poetic romantic movie, directed by Halitha Shameem of Poovarasam Pee Pee fame.
Suriya had 2 releases in 2019 - NGK with director Selvaraghavan and Kaappaan with director KV Anand. Both these movies carried a lot of expectations but unfortunately did not set the Box Office on fire. Suriya has already completed work on his next movie Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara of Irudhi Suttru fame. The movie is in the post production stage and is expected to hit the screens in May, in 2020! Suriya has time and again proven that he's a good samaritan and we congratulate him on this latest occasion too!
