'Superstar' Rajinikanth's 2002 film Baba's remastered version is the talk of the town and is the iconic actor's treat ahead of his birthday on December 12. Directed by veteran Tamil filmmaker Suresh Krissna, the film has music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman and the question on the minds of everyone for the last two decades has been whether there would be a sequel or not after it ended on a note saying the journey of the protagonist would continue. In that light, on the occasion of Baba's re-release, filmmaker Suresh Krissna sat down for a candid conversation with National Award-winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan, the Editor-in-Chief of Galatta Plus, to talk about how the film came to be more than 20 years back, and the possibility of a sequel.
