Superstar Rajinikanth's Annaatthe which released yesterday (November 4) on the festive occasion of Diwali is off to a sensational start at the box office and the film is on its way to becoming a blockbuster hit very soon. Though the film has opened to a mixed response from the general audience, the film is expected to do really well at the box office and here is proof from a theatre exhibitor to support that point. Nikilesh Surya, the Managing Director of Rohini Silver Screens (Koyambedu), took to his official Twitter page to reveal the number of tickets that have been sold for Annaatthe on its first day at his multiplex.

A mammoth number of 13000 tickets have been sold for the first day shows of Annaatthe and this is indeed a humongous number. Nikilesh also added that Annaatthe has got the biggest opening day sale (tickets) of 2021. Nikilesh's tweet read, "A tremendous 13000+ tickets on Day One @RohiniSilverScr #FansFortRohini !!! Biggest opening day sale of 2021. #Annaatthe". When one of the fans asked Nikilesh Surya about Thalapathy Vijay's Master's day one ticket sales, he stated that Master opened with 50% occupancy, informing that 8000 tickets were sold on its first day.

The theatre exhibitors are delighted with the way Annaatthe has opened and let us hope that the momentum keeps going. Produced by Sun Pictures on a grand scale, Annaatthe revolves around the relationship between a dotting brother and a sister. Annaatthe is directed by Siva and has music composed by D Imman, whose work has acted as a major support to the movie. With cinematography handled by Vetri Palanisamy, Annaatthe features Nayanthara as the female lead. Prakaksh Raj, Khushbu Sundar, Meena, Soori, Sathish, Jagapathi Babu, Abhimanyu Singh, and others play supporting roles.
