Modern Love Chennai is Thiagarajan Kumararaja's next after he directed Super Deluxe in 2019, which went on to earn massive critical acclaim. The neo-noir dark comedy crime film saw 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi win the Best Supporting Actor at the 67th National Film Awards, with the rest of the cast featuring Fahadh Faasil, Samantha, Ramya Krishnan, Mysskin, Gayathrie, Bagavathi Perumal and Ashwanth Ashokkumar receive massive praise from fans and critics alike. Although Thiagarajan is yet to announce his next directorial venture, the filmmaker coming on board Modern Love Chennai as the producer and writer will no doubt raise plenty of curiosity among his fans.
