Kamal Haasan's Anbe Sivam, which brought out a new perspective about love and god, was directed by Sundar C. Though Sundar C is known for comedy commercial films, he has a serious side, which have been shown in films like Anbe Sivam. The film did not make much business when it released, but it was applauded a lot by several critics.
However, there are reports that the director has expressed that feels he made a mistake directing a film like Anbe Sivam. He said that though the film was critically acclaimed, it did not do very well financially and that landed him in a lot of hot water. However, the ace director says that he would make such a film again, if the right script came to him! Meanwhile, everybody is eagerly awaiting the release of his upcoming movie Aranmanai.
