Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu has turned out to be a phenomenal success as the film continues to draw in crowds to theatres after taking a stunning opening. Directed by blockbuster filmmaker Venkat Prabhu under producer Suresh Kamatchi's V House Productions and featuring foot-tapping songs and a rocking background score by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the mass masala political entertainer, which also includes S. J. Suryah delivering yet another career-best performance, still has fans debating about the film on social media. With the film currently running successfully in theatres, the makers on Saturday surprised fans by releasing the Maanaadu single shot bottle fight scene, which has Simbu taking on a group of thugs, who are part of a team formed to assassinate the Chief Minister played by veteran actor S. A. Chandrasekhar.

The fight scene in Maanaadu is a high-octane sequence and has STR and the fighters going up against each other, with a number of them taking hits to their heads with bottles. The bottle fight scene as the video's title suggests was picturized in a single shot and was choreographed by action director Stunt Silva and has since the film’s release turned out to be one among the many big highlights. The plot of Maanaadu revolves around the concept of time-loop and how Simbu and S. J. Suryah’s characters are stuck at a single big event in time. In the film, Silambarasan makes repeated attempts to stop the assassination of the Chief Minister played by veteran actor S. A. Chandrasekhar, with S. J. Suryah and Y. Gee. Mahendran cast as the chief antagonists. Post the release of Maanaadu, there has also been a strong talk for a sequel, with the film's director Venkat Prabhu and editor Praveen K. L. recently confirming that there's a one-line story ready for the second installment.
