During a thanks giving meet event that was covered by Galatta Tamil, STR was called to the stage to speak a few words about his newly released film. As he was nearing the end of his speech, Simbu touched upon a very serious subject and requests everyone about it. He said, "No one could write anything about my body in this film and I am directing this towards those few people who always wrote stuff about my body. One can give a review about a film, but to give a review on an individual's body is a very wrong thing. I am able to look past it but not everyone can look past it. So I request not to hurt others personally."
