Popular Malayalam actor Sreejith Ravi has been arrested by the police for allegedly displaying his nudity before two minor girls in public on July 4. A case was registered under the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences), said Thrissur West Police.

The police said that the arrest was made on a complaint lodged by the parents of the two children aged nine and fourteen. As per the complaint, a person who came in a car exhibited nudity in front of the kids near S. N. Park in the Ayyanthole of Thrissur. Though the children were not able to name the person, they confessed he was at the park in a black car. Following the complaint, the police initiated an investigation based on CCTV footage obtained from that particular area. The car was later spotted and the accused was identified as Sreejith Ravi.

As per reports, Sreejith had been booked for the incident and confessed during an investigation that he was apparently suffering from mental problems and behavioral disorder and is currently taking medication and undergoing treatment for it.

This is not the first time that Sreejith has been booked for doing such an obscene act. Back in 2016, he was booked under a similar case in Palakkad a couple of years ago. He was arrested by Palakkad police for displaying nudity before 14 schoolgirls while inside a car when a group of students were walking to their school. He allegedly even tried to click photographs with the school-going kids in the frame. But the case eventually died down and he said it was baseless.

Sreejith Ravi is the son of veteran Malayalam actor TG Ravi and is famously known for his villain and character roles.
