Soori is one of the well-known actors who became popular after his role in the movie Vennila kabadi Kuzhu for the hilarious parotta comedy sequence. The actor has done over 60 films as a comedian and supporting actor and has recently turned into a lead actor with Vetri Maaran's two-part film Viduthalai. The actress plays the role of an honest and loyal newbie cop. The actor has received high praise for doing the role to the tee. He also has some interesting projects in -line including Ram’s Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai and Pebbles director's Kottukkali.

Galatta media organised an exciting fans meet for the actor Soori with some sweet surprises. A school teacher of Soori named Tamilarasan made a special appearance in the event and amused the actor and he shared about his school days with the actor. As the anchor asked how he felt about the success of Soori, the teacher said “though I am sitting down, I feel like I am floating in the sky. That's how happy I feel. I have no words to express it. I can’t call him dis-respectfully as avan ivan". As the actor then said "please call me avan, Ivan, it's only beautiful sir" The teacher obliged. The actor said "Call me like you kids sir." The teacher said “At that time, we would scold our students, now it's not coming. So, As I am talking to you my thoughts run miles somewhere else. That's how happy I am. Please give this happiness to me always."

Soori and this teacher Tamilarasan shared a sweet moment as the teacher gave a congratulatory kiss his student Soori. The teacher Tamilarasan then expressed his wish for the actor saying "May, all the awards from Filmfare awards in Tamil Nadu, India's Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Oscar award to be given to all three of them (Soori, Sivakarthikeyan and Sasikumar). Among them, Soori should get it surely. Dadasaheb Awards is a must for Soori . If I live that long, I have to see it before I die." The actor said "surely I will get it and come and show it to you, sir." As the anchor then asked how Soori felt about this meeting, he said "The teacher is the next person we see, after mother and father, as our mom and dad. There is no one else. At the same time, As a student moves forward in life and when he looks back when he sees his teacher he will also be happy.
