Leading Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan has a number of high-profile projects lined up ahead among which also includes the highly-anticipated Ayalaan. Directed by R Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai fame, the upcoming science-fiction drama will feature music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman, with the film currently in its post-production stages owing to the extensive computer graphics / VFX works. Sivakarthikeyan, who will be seen next in the youth college entertainer Don hitting theatres on May 13, recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Galatta, and revealed details about the Ayalaan teaser, while also opening up on the release plans of the film. 

Speaking about Ayalaan, Sivakarthikeyan revealed, "Hopefully, I believe the film will be released this year. All the output from our end has been completed and the CG works are currently going on. As of now, we are planning to zero in on the right release date. The process work is underway. Once the release date for the film has been locked, we will release the teaser, which is ready now." Ayalaan is an important film in Sivakarthikeyan's career as it is huge in scope and scale and fans are eagerly looking forward to witnessing the film on the big screen in all its glory. 

Ayalaan's story will revolve around the relationship between a human being and an alien, with the first look poster receiving a sensational response. Sivakarthikeyan is paired opposite Rakul Preet Singh in the film, which also has En Swasa Kaatre and Nenjinile fame Isha Koppikar, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Bhanupriya, Bala Saravanan among others in vital roles. Produced by KJR Studios and being distributed by 24 AM Studios, Ayalaan has been revealed to have been made on a budget of 100 crores, with the 'Vera Level Sago' song sung and composed by A. R. Rahman turning out to be a chart-buster.
