Silambarasan TR and Hansika Motwani will be seen on the big screens once again for the second time in the highly-anticipated Maha releasing in theatres worldwide on July 22. Directed by U. R. Jameel, a former associate of Romeo Juliet, Bogan, and Bhoomi fame Lakshman, the upcoming film is a thriller drama produced by Mathiyalagan V's Etcetera Entertainment banner and is coming out in cinemas after several hurdles. Despite a number of release delays, the excitement for Maha had never dampened owing to the on-screen pairing of STR and Hansika after they first charmed their way into the hearts of the masses in 2015's Vaalu

With promotions being carried out extensively for Maha, the makers on Wednesday released the much-awaited 'Kedutthuttiye' video song, picturized on Simbu and Hansika. The intimate and romantic number has been composed by Ghibran and features the vocals of Benny Dayal to lyrics penned by Viveka. Expectations for the film shot up after it was announced that STR would be a part of the film as it has him reuniting with Hansika once again after their Vaalu. Although Silambarasan's role has been revealed to be an extended cameo in Maha, the flamboyant star will be appearing for close to forty minutes in the film.

The plot of Maha is said to be revolving around Hansika going in search of her missing daughter and it will be interesting to witness them on the big screen with Silambarasan once again. Srikanth, best known for starring in films like Roja Kootam, April Maadhathil, and Poo, including the 'Thalapathy' Vijay and Jiiva blockbuster Nanban, will be seen opposite Hansika in the film, which also features Karunakaran, Thambi Ramaiah, Baby Manasvi, among others in pivotal roles. Maha is also Hansika's return to Tamil cinema screens after she last appeared opposite Atharvaa in the 2019 cop drama venture 100.
