Promotions for Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu are underway and expectations for the film are massive as it has STR appearing in a powerful role once again after his 2021 box office money-spinner Maanaadu, and fans look forward to seeing him delivering yet another memorable performance. There is a tremendous buzz surrounding the film as it also has Gautham Menon foraying into a story set for a sizable amount of duration amidst a rural backdrop. The filmmaker has written a screenplay based on acclaimed Tamil writer Jeyamohan's story, who revealed in an exclusive interview with Galatta that VTK is based on a real person's life, who is still alive.

The Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu trailer released a few days back has generated a lot of curiosity and showed the transformation of Simbu coming from humble beginnings and rising to become a ruthless gangster in Mumbai city. The trailer also ended on a high note with an announcement and the lead for a sequel. Apart from Simbu, VTK also features Siddhi Idnani as the female lead, while Radikaa Sarathkumar, Siddique, Neeraj Madhav, and Appukutty form the supporting cast.
