Silambarasan TR popularly known as STR is a well-known actor who has been part delivering films recently. The latest release of the actor was Pathu Thala, which hit the theatres yesterday. It called for a celebration by his fans for the FDFS. The film has also received a good response as reports stated it could be a hatrick success for the actor after Maanaadu and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. The movie was an official remake of the Kannada language film Mufti which was directed by Obeli N Krishna. The film also has Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Gautham Vasudev Menon in important roles.

Silambarasan TR recently attended the grand audio and trailer launch event of Ponniyin Selvan: 2. He has now replied to a tweet by Jayam Ravi who thanked STR for his presence at the event and for the great success of Pathu Thala. STR has replied to the tweet saying “Thanks Ravi! Was good seeing you & wish you all the best for PS2." Actor Karthi who played Vanthiyathevan in Ponniyin Selvan 2 also tweeted wishing for the success of the Pathu Thala Team to which Silambarasan TR replied “Thanks darling! Looking forward to see Vandhiyathevan in PS2". He has also replied to the actor and comedian Yogi Babu’s wishes for Pathu Thala.

Madras Talkies, one of the production houses of Ponniyin Selvan, shared pictures from the event and thanked every special guest who made the audio and trailer launch event special including 'Ulaga Nayagan' Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, actresses Khushbu Sundar, Revathi, Shobana and Suhasini Maniratnam. The actor has also replied to the production house saying “It was a pleasure being there! Superb trailer! Super vibe! Looking forward to the release". The actor also re-tweeted various short videos of the first response to the film Pathu Thala.
