Silambarasan TR's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu which released in theatres yesterday (September 15) amidst huge expectations has opened to a positive response from the audience and critics and it is expected to be another successful outing for the star actor. Meanwhile, Galatta Plus recently interviewed Silambarasan TR ahead of the release of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and during the exclusive interaction, the multi-talented actor opened up about several interesting aspects about his journey as an actor and technician. Baradwaj Rangan, the Editor-in-Chief of Galatta Plus asked the Maanaadu actor if the audiences can expect him to direct a film again and STR had an interesting reply to that.

He revealed that he is indeed going to direct a film soon and assured that he will make that happen once he completes his 50th film as an actor. Talking about it, Silambarasan TR said, "Even I am wanting that to happen. What I have learnt in this period of time, I want to explore that to the maximum and director Simbu can only do it. There have been many scripts on my mind that I really want to make. The ideas are exploding inside my head. I am waiting for my 50th film to be completed. I have neared 48 now. VTK (Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu) is my 47th film and I have 3 more films. Once I finish those 3, then 100 per cent I want to direct and I am doing it".

Well, this is an interesting point to note and it looks like the fans can get ready to witness a Silambarasan TR directorial within the next 5 years. Simbu is currently shooting for Pathu Thala which will be his next release in Kollywood. Pathu Thala is directed by Obeli N Krishna of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame and it has music composed by the legendary A.R.Rahman. Produced by Studio Green, the film features Gautham Karthik as the other lead and is scheduled to release on December 14.
