Sibiraj's latest release, Maayon is running in theatres and will enter the second week of run from tomorrow. Maayon released in theatres on June 24 and it opened to fairly positive reviews from the general audience. The film was appreciated for its first of its kind attempt at blending mythological aspects with mystery and adventure. Maayon is directed by debutant N Kishore and features Sibiraj, Tanya Ravichandran in the lead roles. Isaignaani Ilaiyaraaja has scored music for this film which has been produced by Double Meaning Productions.

Sibiraj, highly impressed by director N Kishore's craftsmanship in the film, has gifted him a gold chain recently and their association is now all set to continue. Yes! In a surprising turn of events, the makers made the official announcement on the sequel of Maayon and it has been confirmed that the second part will be shot on a much grander scale. The announcement on Maayon 2 was made through a new poster and it confirms us that the film will be released in 5 different languages - Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Maayon 2 will be Sibiraj's first ever pan Indian film and it has been officially announced to hit the screens for the festive occasion of Diwali in 2023. The official tweet from Double Meaning Productions read, "#Maayon 🦅 has another side to it.. another Chapter.. another Universe? A Grand Visual treat of our traditional values with thrills and twists “Do you live in darkness or does the darkness lives in you?” #MaayonChapter2 ♾ to begin soon. Grand Deepavali 2023 release". Details regarding the rest of the star cast and crew are yet to be known.

Meanwhile, Sibiraj is gearing up for the release of his next movie, Vattam which will have a direct OTT release on the Disney Hotstar platform in July. Vattam is directed by Kamalakannan of Madhubaana Kadai fame and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.
