Shriya lectures at IIM-A

After Bollywood biggies Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan, popular South Indian actress Shriya Saran received the honour of delivering a lecture to students at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad (IIM-A) on February 12.

The actress was invited by the institute to give a lecture to second year students of contemporary film industry (CFI), which is an elective course for the postgraduate programme at IIM-A. The topic was – Marketing and Branding of a Film.

Sources from the campus said Shriya was in her element. She impressed the students with her lecture and answered all the queries with spontaneity and humour. She also described how the business of films is in Kollywood and Tollywood is conducted.

Talking about her experience on giving a lecture at IIM-A, the actress said: "Indian media and entertainment industry is the fastest growing sector at present. I was there to give a lecture to second year students of CFI and did a lot of research for the lecture for nearly five days to prepare myself."
