In a shocking incident, Shiva Parvathi theatre in Kukatpally in Hyderabad went up in flames after a major fire broke out in the early hours of Monday, January 3. The popular cinema hall's roof collapsed after the building suffered damages due to the fire. Officials have stated that fire & rescue services rushed to the spot and doused the blaze, while adding that there were no casualties. Furthermore, they added that an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire in the cinema hall, which was screening the Nani-starrer Shyam Singha Roy till it was operational. 

According to reports, the fires in the Shiva Parvathi theatre had started at midnight before they went on to be noticed. Apparently, the roof of the cinema hall was completely covered in fires and collapsed by the time fire and rescue services reached the spot to bring the situation under control. A probe has been launched to find out the extent of damages the theatre has sustained and an official report is awaited. A leading single-screen cinema hall in the Kukatpally area, the Shiva Parvathi theatre is located close to the Chutneys restaurant near Jal Vayu Vihar. This is the second major fire accident in the city in recent days after a fire broke out in the Chaderghat area on December 31, with reports stating that nearly 40 huts along the Musi river bank got burnt down. Reports further say two LPG cylinders exploded and there was damage to cash, furniture, and other properties, with officials stating that there were no casualties in the incident.
