One film that has created a lot of curiosity among fans is the upcoming Sharwanand bilingual, which has been titled Kanam in Tamil and Oke Oka Jeevitham in Telugu. Billed to be a science-fiction time travel-based film, the upcoming venture directed by debutant Shree Karthick also has yesteryear actress Amala Akkineni playing the role of Sharwanand's mother and is also her big comeback to Tamil cinema after a long time. Produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner, the makers announced on Monday that the first single track titled 'Amma Song' from Kanam will be releasing on January 26 at 5 p.m.

Kanam's story will revolve extensively around the mother-son relationship and the 'Amma Song' is expected to be a big highlight in the film. The teaser released last year sometime back had also created a lot of excitement among fans and gave a glimpse at what can be expected to be witnessed when the film comes out next. The Kanam teaser showed Sharwanand joined by Ramesh Thilak and Sathish, with the trio then traveling back in time to meet the younger versions of themselves with the help of veteran actor Nasser, who plays a scientist behind the technology. Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal heroine Ritu Varma is playing the female lead in Kanam, which incidentally marks Sharwanand's return to Tamil cinema after he made a big impression in Engeyum Eppothum nearly a decade back. Jakes Bejoy has composed the music in Kanam, with the film's technical team featuring names like Sujith Sarang for the cinematography and editing by Sreejith Sarang.
