Superstar Rajinikanth's Annaatthe which released on November 4 for the festive occasion of Diwali has opened big at the box office and the film is on its way to becoming a solid blockbuster. The audiences are thronging the theatres to catch the film and the theatre exhibitors are said to be delighted with the way the film is performing. Meanwhile, Thala Ajith's wife and former actress Shalini Ajith has watched Annaatthe yesterday (November 5) at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai, and pictures of the much-loved actress are doing rounds on social media.

Shalini watched the film with her son, Aadvik Ajith and brother, Rishi Richard, known for acting in movies like Draupathi and Rudra Thandavam. However, Ajith was not seen along with the family. The pictures and videos of Shalini, Aadvik, and Rishi have gone viral among the fans. Shalini is an ardent fan of Rajinikanth and we have seen her talk about him in her old interviews. Annaatthe, starring Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role, is directed by Siva who had earlier directed the blockbuster hit Ajith starrer Viswasam. Produced by Sun Pictures on a grand scale, this film features Keerthy Suresh as Rajinikanth's younger sister and Nayanthara as the star actor's love interest.

The film's story revolves around the emotional relationship between Rajinikanth and Keerthy Suresh. Rajinikanth's energetic screen presence has been one of the major strengths of Annaatthe and it has been a treat for the fans to witness their favourite star in action. Khushbu Sundar, Meena, Prakash Raj, Abhimanyu Singh, Jagapathi Babu, Soori, Sathish, play supporting roles in this family drama which has music composed by D Imman. With cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy, Annaatthe is edited by Ruben and has stunts choreographed by Dhilip Subbarayan.
