As known already, a Bollywood remake of last year’s blockbuster Tamil film, Vikram Vedha, to be produced jointly by Y Not Studios and Reliance Entertainment with Pushkar-Gayatri once again set to direct is all set to go on floors sometime later this year.

Vikram Vedha directed by Pushkar-Gayatri starred Vijay Sethupathi, Madhavan, Shraddha Srinath and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in lead roles and, went on to become a smash success both critically and commercially.

Meanwhile, there has been much debate on 'Bollywood Baadshah' Shah Rukh Khan being part of the Hindi remake. That being said, the superstar has now apparently laid out two conditions to be part of the project.

The first being, Shah Rukh Khan wants to play 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi’s character, Vedha, in the Hindi remake.

Apparently, the makers were keen on casting the 'King Khan' for Madhavan’s role.

In addition, SRK reportedly is also insistent on Maddy reprising his role from the Tamil original once again for the Bollywood version.

It must be noted Madhavan had opted out of Ranveer Singh’s Simmba in which he was reportedly offered a major role owing to his recent surgery.

SRK’s second condition is one of the producers of the Hindi version, Neeraj Pandey, also a director known predominantly for M. S. Dhoni - The Untold Story, should helm the Hindi remake.

According to latest reports, Neeraj Pandey has agreed and gave his nod to come on board the film as the director.

It now remains to be seen how things progress from here for the Vikram Vedha remake.
