Veteran Tamil actor Sathyaraj's younger sister Kalpana Mandradiar passed away in the early hours of Sunday, November 5. According to reports, Kalpana Mandradiar was admitted to a private hospital in Coimbatore due to ill health and during the wee hours of Sunday, she was declared dead by the Doctors. Sathyaraj, along with his family is said to have rushed to Kangeyam for the final rites. Up next, the ace actor has several exciting projects in his lineup and the highlight project among the lot happens to be Etharkkum Thunindhavan. Sathyaraj will be seen playing the role of Suriya's father in Etharkkum Thunindhavan, directed by Pandiraj.

Etharkkum Thunindhavan has got huge expectations among the fans and film buffs and it is expected to take a solid opening at the box office. Produced by Sun Pictures on a grand scale, the film is scheduled to hit the screens on February 4, 2022. The film features Doctor sensation Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead and Vinay as the key antagonist. Khakee, Party, and Theerpugal Virkapadum are the other Sathyaraj films lined up for release.

Sathyaraj will also be seen playing a crucial role in Nayanthara's upcoming horror thriller, Connect, directed by Ashwin Saravanan of Game Over and Maya fame. Produced by Rowdy Pictures, Connect features legendary Indian actor Anupam Kher in a pivotal role.
