Veteran actor Sathyaraj was tested positive for the Covid 19 virus and was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai, last week. The fans and well-wishers extended their warm wishes for the much-loved actor to recover soon from the infection. Following a few days of stay at the hospital, Sathyaraj has now been discharged from the hospital and is said to be in good health. Sathyaraj's son and actor Sibi Sathyaraj took to his official Twitter page to share the health update and it has come as a big relief for the fans and well-wishers. Sibi tweeted, "Hey guys.. Appa got discharged from the hospital last night and back home.. He’s totally fine and will resume work after few days of rest.. Thank you all for your love and support! #Sathyaraj".

Additionally, Sibi also alerted the fans that his father is not available on any social media platforms and requested them to block or unfollow any profiles which claim to be Sathyaraj. On the acting front, Sathyaraj was last seen in Theerpugal Virkapadum which was released a few days before, opening to fairly decent reviews. Up next, the ace actor will be seen playing a pivotal character in Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan directed by Pandiraj.

Sathyaraj will be essaying the role of Suriya's father in this film which is currently in the post-production stages. Etharkkum Thunindhavan is scheduled to release in theatres on February 4, but looking at the current situation, the film is likely to be pushed to a later date. Apart from ET, Sathyaraj is also acting in Comali fame Pradeep Ranganathan's second directorial which features him in the lead role, under the production of AGS Entertainment.
