Blockbuster South Indian music director Santhosh Narayanan has hinted at the possibility being a part of acclaimed filmmaker Pa. Ranjith and Arya's Sarpatta Parambarai Round 2. The composer took to Twitter on Tuesday evening, March 7, and quote-tweeted the upcoming film's announcement poster, while adding a verse from the chart-topping hit 'Vambula Thumbula' song, which he composed for the smash success, Sarpatta Parambarai, in 2021. Tagging Pa. Ranjith and Arya in his tweet, SaNa, as he is fondly called by fans, Santhosh Narayanan also added a couple of drums and biceps emojis suggesting that he might be a part of the sequel Sarpatta 2. Fans will know that Santhosh Narayanan had worked with Pa. Ranjith ever since the director's debut in Attakathi (2012) and the duo have since been a highly-successful combo in Tamil cinema having collaborated in Madras (2014), Kabali (2016), Kaala (2018), and Sarpatta Parambarai (2021). Their partnership over the years has yielded several memorable songs and it came as a big shock for many fans when they didn't team up for last year's Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, which had music composed by Tenma, who previously made his Tamil cinema debut with Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu in 2019. It once again came as a surprise when SaNa was revealed to be not working in Ranjith's upcoming film, Thangalaan, starring 'Chiyaan' Vikram, which has music by G. V. Prakash Kumar.
Whether Santhosh Narayanan is indeed a part of Sarpatta Parambarai Round 2 remains to be seen and an official announcement confirming his collaboration once again with Pa. Ranjith will no doubt send fans into celebration mode. As of now, Sarpatta 2 is being jointly produced by Arya's The Show People, Ranjith's Neelam Productions and Hindi producer Jatin Sethi's Naad Sstudios banners.
