Santhini, who made her debut with K. Bhagyaraj’s Siddhu +2, is on a roll now. The actress, who has also done some commercials, makes sure that she acts only in performance oriented roles. In fact, she hears the complete script before signing any film. After completing her schooling, Santhini took part in Miss. Chennai and many catwalk competitions. Later, she has been selected as the Miss. Photogenic (beautiful face) and it paved the way for the actress to enter into cine field. K. Bhagyaraj, who was impressed with the actress’ beauty, cast her as the leading lady of Siddhu +2.
The actress, who has finished shooting for her second film Padithurai, is excited, as offers are pouring in for her from all the sides. Also, the actress is simultaneously busy shooting for ads. She has recently shot a jewellery ad in Dubai.
Talking about her future projects, the actress said that through Pothys commercials, three filmmakers have approached her to play the leading lady in their films and she has given her consent. Her next project is Naan Rajavaga Pogiren (Tamil), to be directed by Prithvi, starring Nakul in the lead and director Vetrimaaran will be penning the script for this film. In Naan Rajavaga Pogiren, an action movie, she will be playing a law student.
The actress said that she will continue doing performance-oriented roles in her professional career, and will not just act in movies just for counts. She also added that Sridevi and Jyotika are her favourite heroines and Rajinikanth is her favourite hero.
Nowadays, the actress is super excited as she is being compared with actress Genelia. She said that many people call her as Genelia’s lookalike and she is happy about such comments.
