Comedian turned hero Santhanam started off the year with a bang with Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 and followed it up with the recent, A1, which too has turned out to be a success. Having said that, it has now been officially announced that Santhanam will next be starring in a film to be produced by KJR Studios in association with Balloon director Sinish’s Soldiers Factory banner and will be the directorial debut of newcomer Karthik Yogi. The film’s title, which has been teased to be an “ultimate surprise”, will be unveiled on September 5, with Santhanam revealed to be playing triple roles for the first time in his career.
Santhanam will reportedly be playing the hero, villain as well as a comedian in this upcoming untitled film, which is said to be a sci-fi comedy entertainer and will include plenty of action, sentiment, and romance. Director Karthik Yogi, who has previously acted in a supporting role in the upcoming Kaithi and Thalapathy 64 director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s smash 2016 hit, Maanagaram, has also played the lead role in Sawaari. As for Santhanam’s upcoming projects, he is at present attached to films namely Dacalty and also has in his lineup the long-delayed Selvaraghavan-directed romantic film, Mannavan Vanthanadi, Server Sundaram and Oodi Oodi Uzhaikanum.
