Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been making headlines lately due to the rumors going about suggesting that she had been admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad after her health started deteriorating. The actress stepped forward and announced that she was recovering from myositis after receiving a diagnosis. Samantha is now at home.

She opened up about her health condition to the media and even became emotional while sharing her plight. Sam described her struggle with the situation and said there were days when she thought it was all over for her. On social media, she said, "There are bad days in one’s life along with good days. There are some occasions where I feel I cannot move even a little bit forward. Looking back, I am surprised to realise that is it I who has travelled this much distance. So many people are battling various challenges. Finally, we taste victory. "

"I went through many news reports and articles written about my health condition. They put headlines which sounded like I am on my deathbed. But one thing I am sure about is I am still alive (laughs). I am still here on this earth. I am a fighter. Right now the situation that I am facing is not a life-threatening one to me", she added.

Samantha shared a photo from her treatment, and in the caption, she wrote, "Your response to the Yashodha Trailer was overwhelming. It is this love and connection that I share with all of you, that gives me the strength to deal with the seemingly unending challenges that life throws at me. A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sam is basking in the success of her recent outing Yashoda. She now has couple of other projects in her kitty like the Telugu movies Shaakuntalam and Kushi in which she will be seen sharing the screen with Vijay Deverakonda of Arjun Reddy fame. Both films are scheduled to release sometime next year in 2023.
