Popular Tamil actress Samantha, who made her debut with Aascar Ravichandran’s Moscowin Kaveri, has been roped in as the heroine in Kollywood's much-sought after film maker Gautham Menon's upcoming Naga Chaitanya starrer, rumoured to be the Telugu version of ongoing Silambarasan-Trisha starrer Vinnaithandi Varuvaya (Tamil).
This untitled film was recently launched at Annapoorna Studios, Hyderabad, and is produced by Mahesh Babu's sister Manjula under the banner of Indira Creations. A.R. Rahman scores the music. The film is being planned for December 2009 release.
