Samantha opens up about health issue in shaakuntalam promotion - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the well-known actresses across India. She has done multiple films in Tamil and Telugu predominantly. The last film of the actress that was released was Yashoda which was a Telugu language film that was released in multiple langauages. She also acted in Kaathuvaakula Rendu kaadhal alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara that was released last year. The upcoming film of the actress Shaakuntalam is set to release on 14th March. The film is based on a mythological story and has created huge anticipation among fans.

As a part of the recent promotions for Shaakuntalam, the actress gave an interview, where she shared some personal details and about the film. Samantha Ruth Prabhu was diagnosed with Myositis, an muscle inflammatory illness. As the anchor Ramya Subramanian asked if she was ok. The actress said “a lot better, definitely a lot better. But I think whoever has an auto-immune condition you cannot ask if you are ok (cured). It's life long and there are only good days and bad days. But, there are a lot of good days now.” said Samantha in a shaken-up voice. When asked how she felt about her being back in action. The well-known actress said “yeah. I thought when I was home, or in the hospital, I will be cured that the doctors will cure me. But, right now what I feel while In shoot, doing what I love the most is helping me more. Because, I think when you do what you love, that is a strength in itself. It gave me a huge strength. When I was home I had so much fatigue and couldn’t do much. Suddenly, I am in shooting and action switching from Kushi to Citadel and Citadel to Kushi, Shaakunthalam Promotions, I did not know where the strength is coming from". 

As the anchor asked what Samantha Ruth Prabhu was learning in this phase of of life. The popular actress said "I don't know, I am a control freak, I used to think everything should be in my control. Shooting, lifestyle everything will be under my control. After getting diagnosed, I was angry that I did not get cured. There was a long of anger in the first few months. (there was) Frustration as I am healthy, I eat well, I train well, Why did I get this disease and I am doing everything possible this whole period with a new patience and I have been trying for perfection every time. But now, perfection is not always going after something. Being here, in this interview, speaking about something that I enjoyed doing, Shaakuntalam, I enjoyed acting in the film. Just to be able to do this right now. Promote a film that I loved making and being present is perfection" said the Shaakuntalam actress.
