On Wednesday (September 28) Ryan Reynolds took the internet by storm when he announced that Hugh Jackman will come back as Wolverine in the third installment of the Deadpool movie in his own unique way. Jackman was hardly in the frame, and hardly seemed to care. The fans, of course, went crazy with joy. Jackman had denied he will reprise Wolverine again and James Mangold's 2016 film Logan was meant to be his final film as the character.

In another video later, both Reynolds and Jackman, sitting together this time, explained how the mutant is alive and can rub shoulders with Deadpool in the movie. The video was titled 'Deadpool Update, Part Hugh' and the caption attached to it read, "Quick #Deadpool explainer video that tackles…1) Timeline questions   2) Logan canon   3) MCU FAQ   4) Whether we can do this all day or not".

The one minute and sixteens seconds video begins with the the two actors sitting together, acknowledging that fans would have a lot of questions. “Logan takes place in 2029, totally separate thing, not touching that…” They then proceed to explain what their film is about, however, music starts playing and we just see them gesticulating wildly—-so we really don’t know the plot details of the film, as yet.

Now, James Mangold, the director of Lohan has responded to the news as well. He took to his official Twitter handle and shared, "Oh my gosh! Everybody chill. Just kidding! I’m all good! LOGAN will always be there. Multiverse or prequel, time warp or worm hole, canon or non-canon or even without a rationale, I cannot wait to see what maddness my dear friends @VancityReynolds and @RealHughJackman cook up! ".
