A film eagerly awaited by fans around the country, blockbuster filmmaker SS Rajamouli's RRR is scheduled to hit screens worldwide on January 7, 2022, a week before Sankranthi/Pongal festivities. Billed to be a period action drama, the magnum opus produced by DVV Entertainment at an estimated budget of Rs 350 crores and starring Telugu superstars Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in the lead roles is SS Rajamouli's next after the gargantuan box office success of his Baahubali franchise. With the release plans announced sometime back, the makers of the film have joined leading Tamil production and distribution house Lyca Productions to bring RRR out in Tamil. In that light, the next phase of promotions for the upcoming pan-Indian venture have kicked off as the highly-anticipated second song titled 'Naattu Koothu' has now been officially released.

Composed by veteran composer M. M. Keeravani aka. Maragathamani, 'Naattu Koothu' sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Yazin Nizar to the lyrics penned by Madhan Karky is the second song to come out from RRR ('Naatu Naatu' in Telugu) after the smash hit 'Natpu', which had vocals by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander. Labelled as the 'RRR Mass Anthem', 'Naattu Koothu' has been picturized on Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, who are seen shaking their legs and tapping their feet to the energetic beats, with the song set to become a chart-buster among the masses.

RRR is based on the real life stories of India's freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju portrayed by Ram Charan and Komaram Bheem played by Jr NTR. The excitement for the film doesn't stop there as the cast also includes leading Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgan, followed by Tamil actor Samuthirakani and actress Shriya Saran in pivotal roles, with Irish actors Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody as the antagonists and Olivia Morris, Chatrapathi Sekhar, Rajeev Kanakala, among others in pivotal roles.
