Directors Vikraman and RK Selvamani were unanimously selected by the team after they went unopposed at the directors’ council elections held on Sunday.

The Tamil Film Directors’ Association election takes place every two years. As with the tradition, PuthuVasantham is the long running party led by Vikraman and RK Selvamani. A new party named PuthiyaAlaigal competed but they didn’t had a leader candidate but only for the supporting positions.

RK Selvamani was elected as the Seyalalar while Vikraman became the head of the council once again unopposed. There is fierce competition for many other roles within the association and the respective leaders will be announced in a list, says sources.
