Radio jockey turned actor-filmmaker RJ Balaji's next film will be announced by blockbuster Tamil film director Lokesh Kanagaraj during the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup India vs England match on Thursday, November 10. Being produced by reputed Tamil producer Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh's Vels Film International banner, the upcoming film's first look will be launched at the semifinals of the high-profile cricket tournament. Both RJ Balaji and Lokesh Kanagaraj will be appearing tomorrow in the commentary box on the Star Sports Tamil channel and the much-awaited announcement and first glimpse of the film will be out at 12.30 p.m.

There have been speculations for a while now that the RJ Balaji-starrer will be directed by Gokul, who is best known for his films like Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Kaashmora, Junga, and the recently-released Anbirkiniyal. Furthermore, it is stated that the film is titled Singapore Saloon, with recent rumors doing the rounds that Lokesh Kanagaraj will also be making a cameo appearance. Although Lokesh Kanagaraj's appearance in the RJ Balaji-starrer hasn't officially been confirmed, this latest announcement from Vels Film International does add to the excitement and it remains to be seen whether this will indeed happen. Below is the official announcement:

RJ Balaji is collaborating with producer Ishari Ganesh after LKG (2019) and Mookuthi Amman (2020) and expectations for their new film too are high. The film is RJ Balaji's next after the smash success of his Veetla Vishesham, which he co-directed with NJ Saravanan earlier this year. Lokesh Kanagaraj, on the other hand, whose Vikram earlier this year went on to become one of the biggest hits in Tamil cinema history, will be reuniting with Tamil superstar Vijay for the highly-anticipated Thalapathy 67, which is expected to go on floors this December, after which he will be teaming up with Karthi once again next year for Kaithi 2
