In an unexpected turn of events, actress Meena's husband, Vidyasagar passed away last night (June 28) and his demise came as a shocker for one and all. Vidyasagar was 48 years old when he breathed his last. When the news about his death surfaced on social media, a section of media had reported that he died due to Covid 19 complications. However, there is more to the cause of his death. Khushbu Sundar, who is a very good family friend of Meena, took to her official Twitter page to make the clarification and clear the air.
According to Khushbu's tweet, Meena's husband Vidyasagar had lung related issues which got worsened after he was contracted with Covid 19, 3 months back, during the last week of March 2022. Despite recovering from Covid, his lungs got affected even more. So, Khushbu requested the media and people not to spread false news stating that Covid 19 was the sole reason behind Vidyasagar's untimely demise. Khushbu's clarification tweet read, "I very humbly request the media to be little responsible. Meena's husband had covid 3 months back. Covid worsened his lung condition. Pls do not send out a wrong message & create any kind of fear or cause flutter by saying we lost sagar to covid. Yes we need to cautious, but pls".
Meena and Vidyasagar got married on June 12, 2009 and they have a daughter named Nainika who acted in Thalapathy Vijay's Theri, directed by Atlee. Vidyasagar's mortal remains is now kept at his residence in Chennai for the people from the industry to pay their final respects. The cremation is said to take place at 2 PM in Besant Nagar. At this moment, we at Galatta Media express our deepest and heartfelt condolences to Meena and prays for the departed soul to rest in peace.
