American singer, songwriter, television personality and actor Ray J filed for divorce from his wife Princess Love once again in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, PEOPLE has reported. The 40-year-old singer and reality star, who has been hospitalised for pneumonia, tied the knot with Love, 37, in 2016 and the couple share two children, son Epik Ray, 21 months, and daughter Melody Love, 3. The 'One Wish' singer had recently undergone multiple COVID-19 tests, with the results coming out as negative. He is currently under observation for a 'couple extra days' and has not contracted a 'contagious kind' of pneumonia, his manager, David Weintraub has confirmed.

Ray J has filed for divorce for the third time in his latest filing, which started after Princess Love first claimed in 2019 that the singer had left her and their daughter "stranded" in Las Vegas. The claims, however, have been repeatedly denied by the singer. Love later filed for divorce in May 2020 four months after the birth of their second child before she requested for the plea to be dismissed two months later in July. The singer later filed for divorce once again in September and demanded joint custody of their two children.

According to People, Ray J gave his consent for the separation to be called off and a decision was also made "without prejudice" stating that either party can choose to change their resolution regarding the proceedings. Earlier in an interview with PeopleTV's Reality Check in February, Ray J had mentioned that he and his wife were in a "really good place" as parents, friends and people, who sought the best for themselves, their family and their kids. On the work front, Ray appeared as a contestant in the nineteenth season of the UK reality television programme Celebrity Big Brother.
