The Galatta Crown 2022 follows the tradition of celebrating the entertainment industry's leading and most deserving stars after the highly-successful Galatta Debut awards and Galatta Nakshatra awards, with several top-ranking personalities gracing the occasion, including Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh.
A true entertainer, Ranveer, who was the biggest highlight of The Galatta Crown 2022, danced his way to the auditorium to songs like 'Thalapathy' Vijay's 'Aalaporaan Thamizhan' and 'Aadungada Enna Suthi' from Mersal and Pokkiri, followed by 'Marana Mass' from 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Petta, before taking to the stage by performing to the 'Tune Maari Entriyaan' song from his Gunday and instantly elevated the energy among the thousands gathered at the biggest event of the year. Surprising audiences with his Tamil, the youth sensation addressed fans by saying, "Vanakkam", and set the dynamic tone for the latter part of the evening, while also revealing that it was his first-ever appearance in a South Indian film event. Ranveer was awarded the biggest award of the night - 'Game Changer of Indian Cinema' - and, true to his delightful and electrifying persona got registered in everyone's minds and hearts for being the most deserving star of the night at The Galatta Crown 2022.
Expressing his unending love for the fans, Ranveer Singh also revealed at The Galatta Crown 2022 that he loved 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Master before grooving to the 'Vaathi Coming' song on the stage. He further revealed his desire to work in an Anirudh Ravichander musical and declared that the composer is a "true rock star." Sharing a few life thoughts, the youth icon said, "Be grateful for whatever you have got. We are all in this together and we need to be there for each other." Ranveer also spoke about his love for Tamil music and performed the 'Urvasi Urvasi' song with Anirudh before once again grooving to 'Vaathi Coming' along with National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh and leading Telugu sensation Krithi Shetty. He then went on to present Anirudh with the 'Global Icon of Indian Music' award at The Galatta Crown 2022, with the duo then setting the dance floor on fire with their performance to 'Thalapathy' Vijay's 'Arabic Kuthu' song from Beast.
