It's official - Bollywood superstars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are now Mr. and Mrs. The couple tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony on Thursday, which was attended by leading personalities like Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Armaan Jain, Aadar Jain, Reema Jain, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Navya Naveli Nanda, followed by Mahesh Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, Soni Razdan, including Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, and Akansha Ranjan to name a notable few.

Sharing photos on social media from the ceremony that was held at Ranbir's house, Alia penned a heartfelt statement and wrote in the caption: "Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot - the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married. With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special. Love, Ranbir and Alia".
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt became a couple on the sets of their upcoming film Brahmastra, which will mark their first on-screen appearance together. The star couple began dating in 2017 and made their relationship official during their appearance at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding reception in Mumbai in 2018. Alia and Ranbir were often seen together with each other's families, including the time when they accompanied them during their holiday in Ranthambore last year. As for their Brahmastra, the fantasy adventure film is the first in a planned trilogy and also stars legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia among others under Ayan Mukerji's direction and is scheduled for a worldwide release on September 9.
