Veteran actor Rajkiran will be seen next in the upcoming Tamil film, Pattathu Arasan, starring Atharvaa Murali in the lead role, which is coming out in cinemas on November 25. Directed by A. Sarkunam of Kalavani and Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame, the upcoming rural family entertainer has been produced by Lyca Productions and is the blockbuster banner's first big release after the mammoth success of their Ponniyin Selvan: 1. With Pattathu Arasan gearing up for a grand release, promotions are underway with the stars of the film recently sitting down with Galatta for an exclusive interview, which also saw Rajkiran speak about his special bond with Dhanush, who incidentally directed the former in his film-making debut, Pa. Paandi, in 2017.

Speaking about an incident at the Pa. Paandi shooting spot, Rajkiran revealed how much Dhanush affection had towards him. The three-time Tamil Nadu State Film Award-winning actor said, "Dhanush and cinematographer Velraj are quick in their work. There was this one time when a scene had been shot and I went for a quick smoke. Within a couple of minutes, Velraj had set up the lighting for the next scene and an assistant came and told me that everything was ready. I immediately put down the cigarette and went to the room where the scene was to be shot. But, Dhanush happened to notice the assistant telling me this and called him over and scolded him saying, 'Ayya is smoking and you'll call him for the shot?' That's the kind of protection Dhanush had given me. Similarly, this one time, Dhanush saw how someone had pushed me during shooting and almost went to beat him up. He got upset and asked him, 'You elbow Ayya and walk around? Can't you see where you're going?' That's how much he loves me.' "
