Rahman-Lata Mangeshkar at GIMA
Oscar winning musician A.R. Rahman and singer Asha Bhonsle presented the Lifetime Achievement award to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar (81) at the Chevrolet Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA) in Mumbai.
After presenting the award, an excited Rahman recalled, "My father used to have a picture of Lataji with him. Every morning he used to look at the picture and compose songs. I am so happy that I got the opportunity of presenting this award to her. If my father would have been alive today, he would have really felt nice."
