Raghava Lawrence's Chandramukhi 2 went on floors yesterday (July 15) at Mysore and pictures from the first day of shoot have been officially released by the makers. Lyca Productions will be bankrolling this project on a grand scale with high production value and the pictures were released through the official Twitter handle of Lyca. Vaigaipuyal Vadivelu will be seen playing a pivotal character in the film and his presence is definitely going to be one of the main USPs of the movie. The pictures have also confirmed us the main star cast and here are the details about it.

Radikaa Sarathkumar has been roped in to play a crucial character while Subiksha of Goli Soda 2 fame is also a part of the star cast. However, the makers are yet to officially confirm the female lead of the project and further details are awaited. Legendary composer MM Keeravani will be scoring music for this film that will have cinematography by RD Rajasekhar and art direction by Thotta Tharani. Chandramukhi is one of the biggest hits in Superstar Rajinikanth's career and it is a film that has always stayed special to the Tamil audience. It is going to be exciting to see what the makers have in store for the audience with the sequel.

Ahead of the shoot, Raghava Lawrence met Rajinikanth at his residence in Poes Gardens and sought his blessings and wishes for the movie. Raghava Lawrence's next release in Tamil cinema will be Rudhran which is slated to hit the screens on December 23 for the Christmas weekend. The film will mark the directorial debut of S Kathiresan who is known for producing several hit films like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, and Jigarthanda. Produced by Five Star Creations LLP, Rudhran features Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead and has music composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
