Raavana Kottam is a recent film starring Shanthnu Bhagyaraj that was released in theatres on May 12. The film was directed by Madha Yaanai Kootam fame Vikram Sugumaran. The film created a huge buzz ahead of its release in theatres and opened to positive reviews. The lead actor of the film has now shared an exciting information on Twitter. He congratulated the director for winning the Best Director award in the Crown Point International Film Festival. Shanthnu said “Another feather in your cap, Vikram Sugumaran”. He further revealed that the film festival happened in Chicago, USA. This surely calls for a celebration for the team of Raavana Kaottam as they have got international recognition.

The director Vikram Sugumaran of Raavana Kottam also won another award recently. He got the best director award at the Eastern Europe Film Festival in Romania. Though the film produced by Kanna Ravi Group has been seeing a lukewarm response at the box office, it has won two international awards since it's release. The director also replied to the tweet by Shanthnu Baghyaraj saying “Thank you for giving the opportunity, brother.”
Apart from Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Raavana Kottam also has ’Kayal’ Anandhi in the female lead role and also veteran actor Prabhu in an important role. The film was directed by Vikram Sugumaran also has music by Justin Prabhakaran Before the release of the film, there was a huge controversy surrounding the film and the makers of the film released a statement clarifying that they have not degraded any particular community. The next film of Shanthnu Bhagyaraj is titled Blue Star which is made under the banner of Pa. Ranjthi’s Neelam Productions. The actor is set to star alongside Ashok Selvan for the first time in the movie and a teaser of the film was released recently.
