R Madhavan is one of the most well known actors of Indian cinema. He is currently riding high on the success of his recently released film, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which he had written, directed and produced and acted in it as well. As per multiple reports, the movie’s production had involved an investment of heavy finances, but the film’s moderate success couldn’t get any profits. From the past few days, there have been various rumors and reports of Madhavan incurring heavy losses going around, due to which, the actor lost his house too.

In order to put and end to these fault reports, Madhavan himself took to his official Twitter handle to react to the ongoing speculations and put these rumors out in his trademark style by saying, "Oh Yaar. Pls don’t over patronize my sacrifice. I did not lose my house or anything. In fact all involved in Rocketry will be very proudly paying heavy Income Tax this year. Gods grace 😃😃🙏🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳We all made very good and proud profits. I still love and live in my house .🚀❤️ ". Check it out:

The biographical drama film is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, played by Madhavan, a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation, who was accused in the ISRO espionage case and later exonerated. The story spans across Narayanan's days as a graduate student at Princeton University, before exploring his work as a scientist and the false espionage charges placed upon him.

The cinematography and editing were handled by Sirsha Ray and Bijith Bala, respectively, while the original score is composed by Sam C. S. Rocketry was filmed simultaneously in English, Hindi, and Tamil. Rocketry premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on 19 May, and was theatrically released in India on 1 July 2022. The film opened to mostly positive reviews from critics, who praised Madhavan's performance, his screenplay and his noble intention to make the film.
