Jigarthanda is director Karthik Subbaraj’s second directorial starring Siddharth, Lakshmi Menon and Bobby Simhaa in the lead roles. The film hit the screens on August 1 and has received positive reviews from critics and general audience.

Ever since the release of this film, illegal online copies, VCDs and DVDs have been circulating in the city. Producer Kathiresan is upset over this issue and has lodged a complaint to curb the act of piracy.

He also added that saving the industry from such piracy acts will help the producers and directors in a huge manner.
