Blockbuster South Indian film producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu has established himself as a powerhouse in the film trade throughout the course of his glorious career with his V Creations production house banner. Starting as a film distributor in Tamil cinema in 1971, the reputed veteran producer has delivered several box office money-spinners and is currently producing two big films - Vaadivaasal starring Suriya under Vetri Maaran's direction and Naane Varuven which has Dhanush reuniting with his ace director brother Selvaraghavan. Producer Thanu, who recently received the National Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil for Asuran, is betting big on both upcoming projects, with the buzz surrounding Vaadivaasal at its peak since its announcement.

Now, in an exclusive interview to Galatta, Kalaipuli S. Thanu has talked about how Vaadivaasal will be hitting new highs in Tamil cinema. Producer Thanu stated, "I'm not going to speak much now. However, I will say that the film will reach new heights. I cannot reveal anymore, but the answers will be known when it comes out. Vetri Maaran is working day and night in bringing out a memorable film and I will say this confidently that it will hit the bullseye. Recently, during our time in Delhi (while attending the National Award ceremony), Vetri Maaran and Dhanush were purchasing new books. It is this search and hunger for knowledge that cannot be described. The combination of Suriya and Vetri Maaran will reach peaks that were never scaled before." He further added, "Kaakha Kaakha was made for Gautham Menon on a first-copy basis and Maayavi was made for Bala. But, Vaadivaasal is the original film that I'm getting this time."
