Thalapathy Vijay will be joining hands with director Vamshi Paidipally of Thozha and Maharshi fame for his next outing, Thalapathy 66 which is planned to be made as a Telugu - Tamil bilingual. The film will be produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations on a grand scale. The pre-production works are happening in full swing and the fans are eagerly looking forward to the film's start. Having said that, producer Dil Raju, in a recent interview with a popular Telugu media house, shared some exciting tidbits about Thalapathy 66 and the clipping has gone viral on social media, exciting the fans.

Dil Raju said that Vamshi has come up with a beautiful story and added that Vijay loved it so much that he told him that he hasn't heard such a nice story in the last 20 years. Informing that the shoot is planned to begin from March, Dil Raju confirmed that the team is planning to release the film either for Diwali 2022 or Pongal 2023, depending on the Covid situation.

Talking about the film, he said, "It (Thalapathy 66) is a beautiful story. It will be a special film for our banner, Vamshi, and especially Vijay Garu, who told us after listening to the narration, that this is one of the best stories that he has come across in the last 20 years of his career. Vamshi is doing very well with the pre-production. We are planning to go on floors from March and if there is no Covid disturbance, we are targeting a Diwali 2022 release. If we miss out on Diwali, for sure, the film will be out for Sankranti / Pongal 2023".

Well, that's quite exciting to know, right?. It looks like Thalapathy 66 will indeed have a special story for Vijay showcasing him in a refreshing avatar. We're in the last week of January and by March, the shooting of the film will kickstart. Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
